Bad news for users who used these seven xiaomi smartphone.
Xiaomi has
been known for updating even five-year-old smartphones to its latest MIUI, but
it seems like this practice is about to end. On Mi Forum Xiaomi
has announced that seven older smartphones in the Redmi series will no longer
be eligible to get the latest MIUI upgrade. This means that these seven phones
will not get the upcoming MIUI 11 upgrade or any Global Beta update going ahead.
Without MIUI 11 upgrade, users of these smartphones will not get the feature
which removes advertisements. Xiaomi
will only continue to provide Android security updates for now, however, there
is no official word as till when the company will continue to do so.
